In this project we dealt with the safety assessment of an existing building with a reinforced concrete beam and column structure. The building belongs to the category of relevant buildings in case of collapse as defined by the Tuscany Region. Numerical finite element analyses were accompanied by an extensive on-site investigation campaign aimed at determining the mechanical properties of existing materials and surveying construction details.
